Welcome to Odogbolu Grammar School, Odogbolu, Citadel of learning.

Odogbolu Grammar School has come a very long way. The great school, a venture of faith, was founded on Tuesday 29th, 1957 at about 08:30 hours with a short service held at St. Paul’s Church, Odogbolu.

Odogbolu Grammar School was founded by the entire Odogbolu Community with the interest of owning/having a Secondary School where their children would acquire qualitative education at their beck and call.

The school later moved to the permanent site at the Oko – Oke Hill on 13th of December, 1957.

From its inception, the school was boys only.

The school blazed into international limelight in 1962, when she presented her first set of students to take the West African School Certificate Examination. When the result was out, the school registered a 100% success.

The second set in 1963 scored 87.5%. The set in 1964, nicknamed ‘The Sure-Horse of Odogbolu Grammar School’ by the pioneering principal himself, Mr. V.G Chinwah also registered a brilliant 100% success for the school.

However, in 1979, the school got directions from the government to enroll girls. Hence the first set of girls came in on the 31st August, 1979.

Currently the school is still in the business of teaching and preparing students for external examinations – WASSCE, NECO – SSCE, BECE at the Junior School level.

Our students’ performances have been very good. The school have qualified and experienced teachers to handle different subjects. Principals and Vice Principals are available to manage the schools on day – to – day basis.

The school has boarding facilities to accommodate both boys and girls. The students’ hostels are conducive with basic amenities such as electricity, bore hole for water supply, security e.t.c. 

The school has spacious and well ventilated classrooms and other modern day learning aids like Multichoice, computer laboratories, E-library and stock of relevant books, science laboratories e.t.c.
